The third quarter of 2020: Home prices in New Albany fell

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2020 in New Albany fell by $30,500 while total sales decreased by 35.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2020, there were 29 homes sold, with a median sale price of $542,000 - a 5.3% decrease over the $572,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 45 homes sold in New Albany in the third quarter of 2019.

The median sales tax in New Albany for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $12,245, approximately 2.3% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2020.
