The fourth quarter of 2021: Home prices in New Albany increased

The median sale price of a home sold in the fourth quarter of 2021 in New Albany rose by $114,500 while total sales increased by 100%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From October through December of 2021, there were 28 homes sold, with a median sale price of $698,000 - a 19.6% increase over the $583,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 14 homes sold in New Albany in the fourth quarter of 2020.

The median sales tax in New Albany for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $12,245, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the fourth quarter of 2021.
