2021: Home prices in New Albany increased

The median sale price of a home sold in 2021 in New Albany rose by $138,000 while total sales increased by 45.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2021, there were 112 homes sold, with a median sale price of $698,000 - a 24.6% increase over the $560,000 median sale price for the previous year. There were 77 homes sold in New Albany in 2020.

The median sales tax in New Albany for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $12,245, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for 2021.
