Persephone Recently Returned from a Foster Home

Persephone

Franklin County issued the following announcement on March 30.

Have you ever thought about fostering? If so visit https://dogs.franklincountyohio.gov/Services/Foster-Program to learn how you can help dogs like 5-year-old Persephone.

Persephone recently returned from a foster home where we learned that she is housebroken, crate trained, respectful in the home, and will rarely go for anything that is not a dog toy. She did great with the other same size male dog in the home and was stated to be a very well-behaved houseguest.

Historically, Persephone has not done well in the shelter environment and has shown reactivity to strangers in and out of the shelter.

An experienced foster or adopter with no kids and no small pets in home is recommended. Persephone has lived with other large dogs in the home and has done very well!

If you are interested in fostering Persephone please email foster@franklincountyohio.gov

If you are interested in adopting Persephone please visit the shelter during normal adoption hours and speak with an adoption specialist.
