Honoring the Memory of Deputy Angela Kane

Honoring

“She is dearly missed and forever loved.”  A hand sewn quilt honoring the memory of Deputy Angela Kane now adorns the wall at the Franklin County Corrections Center I where she is remembered by her co-workers as a “force of positive energy.” Deputy Kane tragically lost her life in a vehicle crash in September of 2020.  Audrey Smathers, who serves as a Corrections Services Coordinator, said she designed and made the quilt soley with Kane on her mind, using the deputy’s favorite colors and trying to ensure that everyone who loved Kane was represented.  Some of the material came from Deputy Kane’s “own stash.” Thank you to everyone who assisted in honoring her memory.  We will never forget.
