The Corrections Cadets are continuing to wrap up an intense week with the traditional Bell Run/Hero Workout. The timing of today’s tribute was based on the age, years of service, and End of Watch date for fallen FSCO Deputy Marty Martin. In 2008, Deputy Martin was conducting a drug investigation in the Grove City area when he was involved in an on duty vehicle crash. He later died from injuries sustained in the accident. In addition, each cadet completed a run in honor of an officer killed in the line of duty. Even as the Sheriff’s Office builds towards the future, we will always pause to honor the memory of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
