Outstanding work by FCSO Deputies who tracked down and identified a suspected hit skip driver following a fatality on I-270 southbound in Prairie Township. The owner of a disabled vehicle was walking in the berm when eyewitnesses say the suspect vehicle crossed into the berm, striking and killing the victim. It was a difficult scene for deputies, the FCSO Accident Investigation Unit, Franklin Township Police Department, Columbus Division of Police, and Prairie Township, Franklin County, Ohio Fire Department and we thank everyone for their help and professionalism. All lanes of I-270 are back open. The investigation is continuing.
