FCSO Extends Its Sincere Thanks to the Members Of AMVETS

Amvets

The FCSO extends its sincere thanks to the members of AMVETS Post 2000 for the organization’s ongoing support of incarcerated veterans.  AMVET member and Corrections Deputy Michael Callender recently received the FCSO ‘Making A Change’ award for his tireless efforts serving in our Veteran’s Dorm.  Many veterans who enter our Corrections facilities are struggling with addiction and the mental and emotional toll of their service.  The AMVETS Post 2000 provides donations as simple as coffee and creamer to funds for the inmates to purchase toiletries and items from commissary.  The FCSO knows a little support can go a long way to encourage someone to turn their life around. #makeadifference #veterans #veteransupport #AMVETS
