There is currently a crisis in child care, both around the country and here in Central Ohio. Child care sets kids up for success, however many of don’t have that opportunity. The high cost of child care robs many families of this necessity and as a result, only 40% of the children in Franklin County are considered “kindergarten ready".

Today Commissioner Crawley spoke at the ribbon cutting for the new Hilltop Early Learning Center. The Hilltop Early Learning Center will provide free high quality pre-k, on-site healthcare, food and mental health resources, and much more. This an investment in kids, in their families, in the neighborhood, in our whole community, and a step in the right direction for child care. #EveryResidentEveryDay #RiseTogether
