After being rescued last week by our wonderful Franklin County Animal Care and Control Officers and a kindhearted Columbus Park Ranger, 9-month-old Juniper has received an overwhelming amount of support from our community.

As first responders, our Animal Care and Control officers, have no way to prepare for what the day ahead of them may bring.

When they arrived on the scene to find 9-month-old Juniper suffering from severe neglect and extreme emaciation, Juniper was transported to the shelter where our staff rallied together and right away began providing Juniper with the lifesaving care that she was in need of.

Since her arrival, the Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Centerr has received thousands of phone calls and messages in regard to Juniper.

We are grateful and want to thank each of you who have taken the time to contact the shelter offering a loving home and/or support.

We have said it before and we will continue saying it forever, we have the most incredible and supportive community that one could ever ask for and we would not be able to continue doing what we do without all of you. Your kindness is inspiring.

During her time with the shelter, Juniper showed great improvements and while she still has a long road to making a full recovery, we are hopeful that she has a bright future and only great days ahead!

Juniper is no longer in the care of the Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center and has since been welcomed into the care of one of our Rescue partners, Rescue Me Pawsome Style INC. who will continue supporting her through her recovery and prepare her for adoption.

Please join us in thanking our rescue partners everywhere and wish Juniper the very best as she begins this new journey!
