Update on Shelter Alum Garrett #FeelGoodFriday “We are making it official for this lovable goofball. After plans fell through to celebrate Christmas with the family, we decided we would foster a dog from Franklin County Dog Shelter & Adoption Center as part of the holiday sleepover.
As many of you know, we lost our beloved Rex at the beginning of November. We weren’t sure adopting was going to be in the cards but wanted to give a dog a break from shelter life for a little bit.
{We} almost left the shelter because we didn’t see anything that looked like a good fit, but {we} did one last walkthrough, and we came across Garrett.
He wasn’t jumpy and was very sweet. We introduced him to {our current dog} Shadow and immediately the two got along.
It wasn’t long before our hearts fell in love with this sweet boy. He’s come out of his shell quite a bit since being with us. His personality is just such a gentle giant and I can’t imagine a life without him.
Welcome to the family, Garrett Luigi aka Gare-Bear. We love you!”
