There were 4,994 students enrolled in New Albany-Plain Local Schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.3% less than the previous year, according to the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.7% of them were boys, and 49.3% were girls.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 64% of the New Albany-Plain Local Schools total enrollment.

New Albany-Plain Local Schools roughly covers five schools within Franklin County and has a main office in New Albany.

Among the five schools in New Albany-Plain Local Schools, New Albany High School recorded the highest enrollment of 1588 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In 2022, Ohio saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is an improvement for the state and is lower than the national average of 1:16.

Despite the apparent improvement, this positive trend is overshadowed by a general decline in public school enrollments, which was accelerated by the pandemic. This decline, aligned with the steady number of teachers in the state over the last 10 years, has led to low student-to-teacher ratios.
