Mayor Andrew J. Ginther and First Lady Shannon Ginther have announced seven new commissioners on the Columbus Women’s Commission. The Commission, established in January 2017, aims to address gender- and race-based inequities and remove barriers to improve the economic position of women in the community.
First Lady Ginther emphasized the importance of the Commission, stating, "The Columbus Women’s Commission plays a vital role in advancing the strength and well-being of women across the city, from promoting pay equity to advocating for fair and just housing protections." She expressed her confidence in the new commissioners, who bring diverse experiences and expertise to the table, enabling the Commission to continue serving the women of Columbus in 2024 and beyond.
