Published on July 8, 2024, Mayor Andrew J. Ginther announced that Craig Conley will join his senior leadership team as deputy chief of staff. In this position, Conley will lead efforts to build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders while serving as the Mayor’s Office liaison to CelebrateOne and the departments of Neighborhoods, Public Health, and Recreation and Parks.

“Craig brings decades of experience to the City of Columbus as a proven leader, collaborator and storyteller,” said Mayor Ginther. “His wealth of knowledge and expertise forging connections and driving results in the private sector will prove invaluable as we continue to work with residents, community partners and advocates to strengthen safety, expand affordable housing and implement leading-edge transit infrastructure in every Columbus neighborhood.”

Conley most recently served as the chief revenue officer for Tranztec Solutions, Inc., an industry leader in promoting cloud-based efficiency solutions in the transportation and logistics sectors. He has also led sales teams and achieved high-growth revenue for more than 20 years among a diverse portfolio of companies – ranging from startup businesses to Fortune 50 enterprises. His ability to consistently deliver measurable results has earned him repeat accolades in his previous roles, including at LinkedIn Corporation, ADP, Inc., and Dealer Tire, LLC.

“I am grateful for the honor of helping to move this city forward by reaching out and connecting with the very community we’ve been entrusted to serve,” said Conley. “Success in the private sector means meeting customers where they are – and I believe the same is true for empowering people with access to opportunity. I am eager to begin engaging with our residents and advancing Mayor Ginther’s vision for a more equitable and prosperous Columbus.”

Conley graduated summa cum laude from Hiram College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management. His first day with the city will be August 1.
