“We hope this isn’t a trend. We hope this is an anomaly.” Chief Deputy Rick Minerd is sharing new information with the news media on a double homicide on W. Broad St. at around 11PM Tuesday. Detectives working around the clock have developed a description of the gunman’s vehicle. It’s a red or maroon early-to-mid 2000s Mercury sedan, similar to the one pictured. Investigators have learned the victims’ vehicle was traveling east on Broad when the Mercury pulled up alongside it. The male driver, DeMarco Dubose, 35, was shot and killed. Medics transported a female passenger, Roline Williams, 40, to a local hospital. It appears she died from injuries caused when the vehicle crashed into a concrete barrier. The deadly attack comes less than a week after investigators responded to a double homicide on Idlewood Place. “The FCSO Detectives are diligent and tenacious. We aren’t going to let violent criminals turn the west side into the Wild West.” If you have information, please call 614-525-3351.
