A scary situation Wednesday evening in the 33-hundred block of Urban Hollow Court where a man suffering mental illness is accused of threatening children and neighbors with an axe and a butcher knife before locking himself in a family member’s apartment. Excellent work by FCSO Patrol Deputies, members of SWAT, and the Community Intervention and Diversion (CID) Unit for de-escalating the situation and ultimately taking the suspect into custody without incident.
