October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This morning the Board of Commissioners recognized this by passing a resolution which takes the fees that are paid whenever residents get married, divorced, or have their marriage annulled and provides the funds to CHOICES for Victims of Domestic Violence.
CHOICES is one of the oldest and largest domestic violence shelters in Ohio. Dr. Maria Houston, the Executive Director of Lutheran Social Services, CHOICES came to help raise awareness about domestic violence in our community.
