Setting Off a Fury of Training

“The arrival of Intel in Central Ohio is setting off a fury of training for those looking to get jobs at the chip-maker & many other tech companies preparing to set up shop in the region. A Franklin County program is training women of color, who are under-represented in the tech sector, to get some of those jobs,”
WSYX ABC 6 shares in a story aired on Thurs, Oct. 13.
Channel 6 highlighted how the Franklin County Tech Women of Color program is training women of color to enter the male, white-dominated tech field, as well as Franklin County Board of Commissioners Dep. County Administrator Joy Bledsoe Bivens & Magdalena Butts, one of the women participating in the 15-week training program, & more.
The innovative partnership between FCDJFS & Per Scholas Columbus provides technical training & supportive services, paid stipends, & graduates with industry-recognized credentials.
