Shelter alum update!
From shelter dog to Fast CAT running champion, Artie has blazed his own path forward! Running at The Gated Dock located in Shelby, Ohio, Artie is officially recognized as being the second fastest poodle in all of America. Artie’s fastest run clocks in at a blistering 28 mph!
“After leaving the shelter, Artie had a bit of a hard time adjusting.” Shares his owner. “He wanted to play and do things every other dog could, but he just wasn’t healthy enough. Once he got better we noticed that he was freakishly fast!”
On top of being a decorated runner, Artie enjoys partaking in other dog sports such a barn hunting and weight pulling, and he’s currently working on becoming a therapy dog too! He’s cuddly, he’s kind, and boy does he have heart!
“At 4 years old, Artie’s a year away from when most owners retire their dogs. And he’s not giving up. He’s the bestest boy one could ever have.”
